CARRIE SCHLECHT
P H O T O G R A P H Y

My name is Carrie
CANDID COUPLES & WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST.
I believe the best photographs aren’t the perfectly posed ones. They’re the ones that instantly take you back to how it all felt. The way you looked at each other when you thought I wasn’t shooting. The ridiculous laughing. The quiet in-between moments. The wind, the movement, and all the little pieces of the two of you that can’t be staged.
Whether we’re wandering Cannon Beach, exploring the Columbia River Gorge, or chasing beautiful light somewhere around Portland or Southwest Washington, your session should feel more like an adventure together than a photoshoot.
I’ll give you direction when you need it, but I’m never going to spend an hour forcing you into stiff poses. My job is to create space for you to actually be yourselves and photograph what happens in between.
Whether these are simply photographs of this season of your life or the beginning of your wedding story, I want you to walk away with images that feel unmistakably like you.
PORTLAND & COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS BECOME THE HEIRLOOMS THAT OUTLIVE THE DAY
Your engagement deserves more than beautiful photographs — it deserves to be remembered exactly how it felt. I create candid, cinematic engagement photography for couples throughout Portland, the Columbia River Gorge, Cannon Beach, and Southwest Washington, preserving the laughter, movement, quiet moments, and connection that make your story yours.

Feel the love through the stories I’ve had the honor of documenting.

Experience You Can Feel
For over a decade, I've had the privilege of documenting some of life's most meaningful moments. With more than 150 weddings photographed and over 400 couples served through weddings, engagements, and portrait sessions, I've learned that every celebration is beautifully unique, but the moments that matter most are always the same.
From quiet glances and joyful tears to the laughter shared with the people you love most, my role is to preserve your story with care, intention, and a calm presence you can trust. Along the way, I've been honored with 50+ five-star Google reviews and features in Oregon Wedding Day and a Bend, Oregon wedding magazine, but my greatest accomplishment will always be the relationships I've built with the couples who continue to recommend me to their family and friends.
When your wedding day arrives, I want you to feel completely present, knowing that every meaningful moment is being thoughtfully documented by someone with the experience to anticipate them before they happen.

Tori
We knew from the moment we found Carrie that her work felt different—more emotional, more intentional, more us. What we didn’t expect was how seamlessly she would guide us through the entire wedding experience. From timeline help to calming our nerves to capturing details we didn’t even know mattered until we saw the photos… she was everywhere at the perfect moment without ever feeling intrusive.
Love Notes

Teresa
I’ve worked with many photographers through my career in events, and Carrie is in a league of her own. Her professionalism, communication, and attention to detail made us feel like we were working with a full luxury service—not ‘just’ a photographer. She guided us through lighting, locations, and timeline flow in a way that made the entire day smooth and stress-free.
But the real magic happened when we saw the images. They are stunning, full of depth, and perfectly capture the atmosphere of our wedding. She didn’t just photograph moments—she translated the entire feeling of our day into a gallery of art. Every image looks like it belongs in a magazine.

If you want your story told with honesty, artistry, and emotion—she’s perfect. Carrie captured moments we didn’t see happening and made them feel like intentional, beautifully composed scenes from a film.
She didn’t force anything. She let us be ourselves, offering gentle direction when needed, but mostly giving us space to feel the moment. Somehow she captured the quiet, intimate emotions just as powerfully as the wild, joyful ones. Every image feels like a memory we can step back into.
